Hello all,

I've been subscribing to MJF for more than six months now and am really enjoying it. I decided it was time to mosey over and see how the forums are.

A little about me: I'm 33 years old, married for 13 years, have four children (all boys), and I homeschool. We live on 12.5 acres (10 of which are wooded) in a colonial style house built in 1825 and keep goats, chickens, and ducks. I crochet, spin, sew, and make soap. This year I'll be learning to make cheese from my goats' milk and may be putting in a meat rabbit colony.

Looking forward to "talking" with all of you,

RedTartan

Hello Red Tartan, Bonnie and Catherine, from Idaho.

Great to see you all jumping right in here. We love that. There are a great bunch of ladies here, all like minded interests. It's wonderful.

I homeschool also. We have cattle, horses, chickens, goats, a mule, dogs and cats. I garden, can, sew, do crafts, and so much more I can't even think right now.

Looking forward to meeting you all through your posts.

Cindy

Life should NOT be a jounrey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, what a ride!"

Hello! I am new to the forum as well. I am beginning to get things ready for chickens in my home. I have two stepkids in our public school (our school district is actually pretty good). However, My husband and I are seriously considering homeschooling our youngest who is not quite two. Any advice would be greatly appreceiated. Hope your enjoying the frigid temps!

Welcome! Your house sounds really cool. I love old houses. They have a character that you just can't get with a newer home.
