Posted - Jan 19 2009 : 3:20:04 PM Glad to be here, my friend introduced me to this site.. I have a candle business Tender Heart Treasures, and I'm thinking of making my own soap too... mainly just for me cause my own skin is sensitive..and the store soaps just don't do the trick...instead they make my skin "sick". I'm married, have been for 24 years...both grew up in Indiana..however we spent 20 years in the Air Force. So we've lived in North Carolina, Japan and Arkansas.
I'm also looking for ideas in making soap and what kinds would work for me. If you all could help that would be grand. What favorite place do you buy your supplies from. I've been spending much of my day doing research on soap making.

Posted - Jan 19 2009 : 6:22:24 PM Hi To all Just jumped in here for the first time. I'm from Chilliwack, British Columbia in Canada. Today it was a balmy 10 degrees and beautiful sunshine. My daffodils are up about one inch and all my spring perennials are starting to get their green sprouts. If your not familiar with the area we have a long growing season. Looking forward to reading interesting information and learning new things. I got hooked on Mary Janes books about a year and a half ago and now have all three of here books and get the magazine. I work full time, have three kids that are in all kinds of sports, have two acres to work with and little by little am expanding the flower, vegetable and orchard and getting rid of lawn. A continual work in progress. Take care to all and talk to you soon. Ingrid |
