Hi Everyone, I am soo excited to find out about all of you. I hope to jump in feet first. You all sound like we could all be great friends (or sisters). Right now my head is spinning! I am not sure where to start. I want to join the "Sisterhood", is that pretty much the first step???

I am from NC as well. I'm looking for more of us and finding cool topics along the way. Just joined up recently and am super excited to be a part of it all. Hi to all of you, not just the Carolina girls.

Justpassnthru, I go to Swansboro pretty often in the Summer. We love camping at Goose Creek Resort. I love that area. My husband and I would love to have a permanent camp site there. I hope your home sells, the market is pretty much dead in our area.

BE HAPPY!!!

Right now, I just have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I live in the city limits of Wilmington, NC. My husband's job will have us relocating to the Swansboro area (if our home here sells) We are looking only at property with 2+ acres--so I see many animals in my future : )
I've been studying chickens, goats, and bees for now. I grew up on a farm and I'm dying to get back. I can't wait to have some laying hens!! : )

Hi justpassingthru,
What part of NC do you live? Do you have any animals? I would have every kind of farm animal, if my husband wouldn't divorce me. I told a friend the other day, "if you hear I am divorced, it will be over my animals"! Not really, I have the greatest husband in the world, we just celebrated our 25 anniversery. He really has given up on me "ASKING" about getting new critters! LOL!!

BE HAPPY!!!

Welcome Gena! I love animals too and have had all kinds of pets. Right now we only have 3 dogs and some peafowl, but that could change at any moment.

Shirley Jean, Harmony is located kinda between Winston-Salem and Statesville. It only has 1 stoplight! LOL
Kristin, I will spend alot of time in "Barnyard Buddies" also. I have 3 calves, 5 Nigerian Dwarf goats, 2 horses, 3 dogs and 1 cat. I will be getting new chicks this Spring. I had posted about Dorking Chickens, do you know anything about that breed?

BE HAPPY!!!

Gena, welcome . I am in Ga. so not too far away. I love N. carolina. My hubby and I went to Hendersonville to a B&B for our 10th ann. way back when It is so beautiful there. We went to Asheville and drove by the Biltmore. No money to go in, but one day we will.

Have you looked around much yet? I have animals so my favorite is the Barnyard Buddies. But getting into gardening season, I'll be over in the gardening thread alot. Have fun.

Gena, welcome aboard. You'll see soon enough there is plenty of topics and such to get into. Just hop on to whatever. I've only been at it a short while and have stuck my nose in several places. What fun! Enjoy.

Well, keep reading and posting, and after a while you will know where you need to join in. Do not feel you have to jump feet first. We are very easy going here, and if you love farmgirl things, we love you! Take your time!

oh, and I love North Carolina. We go there every year in the autumn. We have been all over the state, and I even went there for needlework shows in the past. But, I have never been to Harmony. What a lovely name! Whereabouts is it?
