Hi everyone! I just became a Farmgirl Sister and received my badge in the mail today. Can't wait to start working on it. I've lived in a suburb of Chicago my whole life and can't wait to move--thinking west, as soon as possible. I've been married for 26 years and have a cowboy son who is 22. None of us enjoy the city living. That's why Maryjanes Farm was a wonderful discovery for me. I love to embroider, do dollhouse miniatures, and all kinds of crafts. I'm not so great at cooking, but hope to improve, hopefully from help from you all! Also, very new at the Forum stuff, but looks like so much fun.

Welcome to the farm Nancy, I'm so glad that you found us! I like to do embroidery too, we can make some of the prettiest things with a little thread, needle and material can't we? :)
Hope to talk to you soon!

Take care, Melissa.

Welcome Nancy. I live down state from you. And yes, all these forums can be overwhelming but you'll get the hang of it.

I am just bowled-over by all the "welcome" posts! Does anyone else get alittle overwhelmed by all the Forum choices here? I don't know where to start, but I'm sure looking forward to many happy "chatting" years ahead. Its nice to see other farmgirls from Illinois.

Welcome Nancy from out west....Northern Idaho to be more precise. I used to live out your way in Woodstock IL for 3 years. I loved the country out there, although I know you aren't in the country. I used to take the train through your town to work in Chi town.
You will love it here. I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

Thanks, everyone, for such a nice welcome! I knew I'd come to the right place to find friendly farmgirls at heart and great information. Oh, and my basset hound, Ranger, was very upset that I didn't mention the 3 dogs that we have, all rescued! Two hounds and one huskie. I know I'll be chatting with you all for a long time to come!
