Hello there everyone. I have been looking over the site and my heart was just pulled in! Everyone seems so open and warm. Which is perfect!
I grew up on a farm in Hunt Texas- however it has only been recently that I was able to convince my husband that a small farm on our 6 acres would be a good thing. Now he is on board full time! Right now we have 3 Nubian does, 98 chicks, 15 ducks, (One full grown- which just started laying eggs! Yay!)1 dog, (lollie), 2 cats, 1 rat, 1 rabbit, 3 kids, an herb garden, both medicinal and spice- a vegetable garden- and my husband is putting in a small orchard this year. I am a stay at home mom/farm girl- I create metal sculptures, write, do photography, and dabble in faux house painting. Next month I am leaving for Texas where I was invited to be a guest speaker for a fund-raiser-(Kids Advocacy Program and Kerr County Womens Crisis Council)- Ok- this is pretty long- so I'll say good-bye for now!
And thanks for having me!

Hi, Sandra. Your place sounds fantastic! I'm interested in faux painting, too. Have you ever tried moire? It's on my list...was it hard if you've done it?

My kidos are Caleb-14, Kitty-13 next month- and the baby-Sara, she's 7, will be 8 in July- I was given Sara when she was one week old- (biologically she's my niece), my husband- who has never had children before- adopted Sara with me- so life is Great- Tight on the moola right now- (who isn't?), but life isn't measured by how deep your pockets are- but how deep your heart is! Right? Right!
