Posted - Mar 11 2009 : 9:44:04 PM I am returning after being off the connection for a couple of years. Have to admit I have ventured on once in awhile to see what you all are up to..what books, crafts, etc. Still great fun! I just checked out Melodynotes blog. What truly pretty embroidery and handwork. That is my favorite needlework to do. I am not as prolific as Melody though. I love to read just about anything. I live on a wooded acreage. No pets. Lots of wild visitors..deer, turkey, fox, rabbits, squirrels of course. Many birds at the feeders, eagles passing through, hawks, even a few falcons. Definitely have spring fever. I work part-time at a county extension office..so learn something new every day, and meet a lot of really wonderful people. |

Posted - May 20 2009 : 12:30:46 PM Well Jeannie and Julia and all you Iowa gals....I lived in Swisher (1/2 way between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids) and worked in Iowa City. My family still lives in Cedar Rapids, my daughter is a teacher there, a son lives there and another son lives in Tipton....I lived out in the country there for 20 years on my little "farmette" and it is a great state!
