Hi all,

Am new to the forum and so should introduce myself! I'm an eastern washington girl who is just itching to start digging in the dirt and getting my garden on its way! The landlorad and I always compete to see who is going to have the first tomato of the season! I've always sewn, crafted, canned fruit, made jam and done all that good stuff I learned from Mom and Nana! I bought my own canner a year ago and still smile thinking about the lady who stopped me while I was in line waiting to pay for it and said, "I didn't know kids your age knew what home canned food was!" I look forward to sharing ideas, getting inspired and having some good times!

Welcome Bridgette from a neighbor just up the river, the Clearwater River that is. Maybe we can meet sometime when I come over to Costco.
Glad you joined us, you'll love it here.

Hello from an eastern WA neighbor!

Are you a Cougar (WSU grad)? (Wondering because of your screen name.)

I'm just outside of Spokane, a couple of hours north of you.

Welcome! Karin

Welcome Bridgett!

Glad you've joined in the fun. Hope to get to know you better!

I have made pickles many times, but this year I plan to get down to business can from my vegetable garden, which I have never done. I am excited to learn all about it!
