Hey yall!!

Welp, after lurking around here for a few days, I decided to join!! What a great group of gals yall are...I've been enjoyin' myself by readin' a lot of the forum.

A lil' about moi..

First and foremost I'm a blood bought Christian who Loves & Serves The Lord, I would be nothing without my saviour and for EVERYTHING I praise him. I attend Union Pentecostal Church and I love my church family beyond words..if ever any of yall are in the area give me a shout and I'll point ya our way!!

I was born and raised in this small county in Florida where I still reside. We sit right on the Alabama line and are just about as country as country gets. I'm a stay at home wife and momma of 2 beautiful kids (11 and 7) and I enjoy the simple life. We raise chickens for eggs (and sometimes meat) and have been known to have a garden about every other year or so. But, it's not because I didn't "want" to have one every year..it just didn't work out, but I've decided from this year on we are to have a garden EVERY YEAR...My hubby, bein' the self reliant person that he is, lol, likes to be the one to pick out what veggies to grow, how to arrange the garden etc etc. Well, not this time. I went to the feed store with my mother in law and I picked out what I wanted ....I am so excited, he's basically just gonna till the land and let me have at it. Which, because of all the rain, we are a bit behind. I'm not all that knowledgeable about what fertilizer goes with what plants, etc etc but I'll learn like everyone else I suppose and can't wait to get started! Anyways..I stumbled upon this forum by doin' a google search and boy aint I glad I found it!! I'm lookin' forward to makin' some new friends on here and hope yall don't mind all the questions I'm sure I'll be askin', LOL.

Be Blessed,

Callie :o)

A warm Southern welcome from one of the Louisiana farm girls. Hey, Callie. Fire away with your questions. There's at least a few farm girls to every question, so you'll have your answers before you know it! Good luck with your garden!
