Hi I'm Tammy. I live on a few acres just outside of a small college village. While I don't live on a farm we do garden and have a small flock of chickens. I am very excited to have found this site.

I'm about 20 minutes north of Ashland. About an hour and 20 minutes east of Fremont. I used to work in Fremont. Small world!!

Hi Dawn,
If you know about the university then we are about 7 miles out ... small town - 1 stop light - and about 45 minutes from Toledo. Where is Ashland?

HI tammy! Glad to have you! Yep, there are a few of us here in Ohio.. I'm not sure where Bluffton is, I know the college though..... I'm by Ashland, and my friend June is about 10 from me. There are a couple gals down the Columbus way, and a few more around Cinci... again, welcome to the farm!

Hi Rachael,

It looks like I am not to close to any other Ohio chicks ... but that's ok ... I'll just keep up on-line ... I hope you find a chapter near you.

Welcome Tammy, you can do a lot on a couple of acres. Be sure to check out sewing thread.

I'm glad I found this wonderful site. We only have a little over 2 acres but we do what we can and are always willing to try more. I have been gardening and canning for years, have a small (25) flock of egg layers, am trying my hand at meat birds, and like to quilt. I am always interested in learning more. I even have a friend ( a city girl with a country heart) who has been asking for instruction on how to make laundry soap(I've been making mine for several years now) and garden. I am recommending this site to her.

Tammy, so glad you joined us! I'm sure you'll find lots of farmgirls who have similar interests to you. Good to see another Midwestern farmgirl to share, learn and laugh with!
