Posted - Mar 25 2009 : 04:18:28 AM Hi I'm Tammy. I live on a few acres just outside of a small college village. While I don't live on a farm we do garden and have a small flock of chickens. I am very excited to have found this site. |

Posted - Apr 15 2009 : 12:17:29 PM Hi Dawn, If you know about the university then we are about 7 miles out ... small town - 1 stop light - and about 45 minutes from Toledo. Where is Ashland?

Posted - Apr 15 2009 : 07:30:28 AM HI tammy! Glad to have you! Yep, there are a few of us here in Ohio.. I'm not sure where Bluffton is, I know the college though..... I'm by Ashland, and my friend June is about 10 from me. There are a couple gals down the Columbus way, and a few more around Cinci... again, welcome to the farm!

Posted - Apr 15 2009 : 07:11:04 AM Hi Rachael,
It looks like I am not to close to any other Ohio chicks ... but that's ok ... I'll just keep up on-line ... I hope you find a chapter near you.

Posted - Mar 25 2009 : 07:32:16 AM I'm glad I found this wonderful site. We only have a little over 2 acres but we do what we can and are always willing to try more. I have been gardening and canning for years, have a small (25) flock of egg layers, am trying my hand at meat birds, and like to quilt. I am always interested in learning more. I even have a friend ( a city girl with a country heart) who has been asking for instruction on how to make laundry soap(I've been making mine for several years now) and garden. I am recommending this site to her. |
