Hello all, I live in the high desert of So Cal. I live on and work a 170 acre family farm/ranch. My youngest Son, his wife and their 6 yr old son live here also and work the place with me. We raise/grow almost everything that we need. We have a kitchen garden, as well as a family garden that we can most of it. we raise turkeys, meat chickens ( cornish x), egg production hens ( red sex links), some ducks and geese also. We have nubian does for milk, and breed them to boer bucks and butcher the kids for meat, an occasional lamb or two, new hamp hogs, 2 or 3 at a time, a brown swiss dairy cow named Miss Molly Moo for milk, creme, and butter, 3 whiteface/angus crosse cows to breed for beef, and 2 quarter x horses along with my grandsons pony. We also have a small orchard, that produces peaches, plums, necterines and apricots, unless we have a late freeze like we did this year, boo hoo. We are totaly organic, plants and animals alike.
