Posted - Jul 23 2009 : 10:33:15 AM My name is Michelle and I have just learned of this site. Spent a day just looking around and decided that I must get involved. Can't wait to learn more about you all.
As for me, I was born and raised in the good ol' city. I'm the mom of a beautiful 17 year ol' daughter who will graduate this year from high school. (quiet sigh....) But off to bigger and exciting things for her. I swear I was born in the wrong area. I so enjoy the country and the simple life. I have just started learning to quilt. I love going to yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. I have also just started to repurpose small pieces of furniture, which I am enjoying, but am running out of room in the house to put them.
Upon reading some of the "barters" that are going on, I would love to post some of my treasures to see if any of you would enjoy them. I can't seem to find a post of rules or what is expected. Is there such a post?
Well, hope you all have a wonderful day and hope to hear from you all soon.
Have a good day!

Posted - Jul 24 2009 : 12:51:45 AM Hi Michelle and a big welcome from a Wisconsin farmgirl. So glad you're here with us and I know you'll love it. There is a section in the general chat forum folder on the upper left hand corner that when you click open the folder it says photo posting instructions and new member tips is another. Both will be very helpful to you as you learn how to do things on this site.

Posted - Jul 23 2009 : 11:05:09 AM Welcome Michelle--I think Sharon is correct in how to barter. Just post what you have and you probably will hear from many. Pictures, too. MB

Posted - Jul 23 2009 : 10:45:04 AM Welcome Michelle!!!
You are going to love it here :) The ladies are so friendly and helpful! I know what you mean about repurposing furniture, I have to refrain from buying any even though they may be killer deals. No room!
I have not seen any rules regarding bartering , I tried searching for you but couldn't come up with any. Maybe a farm girl who has been here longer knows.
I think basically you post what you have to offer and what you are looking for (if anything in particular) You and your barter partner work it out to what seems fair :) I have done 2 barters and the ladies have been great :)
I look forward to getting to know you Michelle :)
