Hello,
I'm Laura of Harvest Lane. I live in a small town in Missouri. I have a farmgirl attitude. I grew up with Laura Ingalls Wilder as my heroine. I like to write, read, sew, and come up with more ways to use it up wear it out and make it do.

My blog is http://harvestlanecottage.blogspot.com .

Thank you all so much for making me feel welcome. You're just too kind. I added a note about Farm Girl Fest Sept 5-6 in the events section. I really recommend using mapquest.com. I'm just not all that great at directions.

Umm, you know, start at the Econolodge, head on down until you get to the split in the road. Turn left and go over the bridge. You'll pass Kellogg Lake. Go 'til you get to the Red Oak II sign. Turn left. Follow the signs.

See what I mean? ~smile~

Blessings,
Laura

Hi Laura,
Welcome. You will make so many wonderful friends on the forum.
I would like to visit the farmgirl fest in Sept. Could you send more info or an address (directions)? We have started a new chapter in Kansas City and trying to rally the troops to come down for a visist.
Take care and best wishes.

Welcome Laura. I love you blog. How are the chickies? I had 8 chicks hatch about 4 months ago and 7 are roosters. Then there are 7 from 2 more hens that are still too young to tell yet. But I bet there will be about the same odds there. That's just the way it is here. I guess they'll be in the freezer soon because I just want one roo.

I know you'll enjoy it here.

Hi Laura and welcome to the MJF forum! It's very nice to meet you and I hope you'll enjoy being here as much as I do. My 5th grade teacher read the entire set of Laura Ingalls Wilder books to my class. I remember her bringing watermelon to class one day for all of us as she read to us. I'm lucky enough to live in Laura's Wisconsin :)

Laura!! I'm so excited to meet you! I live about 30 minutes from Carthage. I had no idea there was such a thing as farmgirl fest and now I'm putting it on my calendar so I don't miss it. I might even make myself a special new apron!

Welcome! I hope you enjoy your time here, this is a great place.
