I live 7 miles out of Magnolia, 40 miles northwest of Houston. My little farmette is 3 1/2 acres that I share with my hubby 3 housecats, 1 new puppy (rescued from the shelter 6/10/09) a flock of 18 assorted chickens, 2 ducks, 2 geese, 5 guineas, 2 nigerian dwarf does (milking one at present)and 1 bee hive We have a large garden, that we will be planting for fall soon. I am 57 years old, have two grown children and 8 grandchildren. I work for Magnolia ISD, as the library aide at the 6th grade campus. I sew, cross stitch, crochet, cook, can, love to read, pretty much do any thing that needs doing.

Posted - Aug 31 2009 : 05:37:13 AM Kathryn It truely is a small world. I was raised in Magnolia. Went to school there from 1st - grad (in 1980). I went thru there about 5 years ago and it has grown so much. When I lived there the only store was Mr Groves General store. I was in the first class to graduate from the "new" high school. My mother was a teacher there for 10 years. Welcome to the forum. If you're a stitcher check out the stitching link there are several neat swaps going on. Also, the barter link is alot of fun.
