Hello,
Let's see here I'm from a small town in Northern California, born here 37 years ago next Monday and still call it home. Grew up in the mountains next door to my grandparents ranch where I learned to be who I am today. My family was in logging as a kid as was my husbands so now we own our own logging and trucking company. I'm a stay at home mommy to our sweet puppy dog, rescued kitty cat, two outdoor cats and some 30 chickens.
I spend my summers running the business, working in my yard and garden, canning, and I even tried my hand at homemade jam for the first time and it was actually really good. Fall is my favorite season and I've already been getting the pumkins and scarecrows ready to put out. When it rains and snows I bake, quilt, sew, spend time with my hubby and this winter I'm going to learn to crochet better.
This last Easter Sunday I lost my grandma. She was the ultimate farmgirl and my hero. I wouldn't be who I am today and wouldn't have the skills I have if it hadn't been for her. This magazine reminds me of her and takes me back to being a kid. I only hope someday I will be half the woman and farmgirl she was!
Looking forward to hearing about all of you! Autumn Leaves
