Hello ladies. I'm a suburban farmgirl from Blue Ash (greater Cincinnati area). I have been getting MaryJanesFarm magazine for a while but just finally decided to take the plunge into the forum. I love the philosophy that "farmgirl is a state of the heart". For a long time I bemoaned the fact that I couldn't move out to the country. But when I decided to just bloom where I was planted and started "farming" my own little house and large lot, I started having a good time. And finding Mary Jane is the icing on that cake! Glad to get this opportunity to meet other likeminded ladies.

Thanks!
Deanna

Welcome from another Buckeye who joined just last week. I just found the magazine last week. So this is all so new to me. It is a good fit. And everyone is friendly and lighthearted here...I am not a joiner and was hesitant...but I feel welcome, and sure will too..

Welcome Deanna,
I also am "farming" on my double lot, you will be amazed at how much you can harvest from a yard and less grass to mow!

Fabulous! I am glad to hear from you "guerin" (don't see your real name). I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one in this area. I would like to find out if there is a Cincy area chapter or not? Ladies????

Welcome Deanna, I've been a member on here for awhile, but haven't posted in years. Going to try to get active again.

I live on the west side of town. I work in Kenwood. Maybe we can start a Cincy area group if there isn't one already :)

Welcome Deanna! Bloom where you are planted...how true that is. I too would love to have more land someday so that I can have chickens at least, but I have made do on my little plott in a small town. Glad to have you. You're gonna love it here!
