Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 07:20:15 AM My name is Jayne and I turned 50 last March and I am ready to live the second half of my life with as many new experiances as I can find! I live in Quakertown Pa....Actually we live a few miles out of town on an acre and a half of what I consider heaven on earth ...I am the proud mother of 2 grown and flown dd's and 2 grandsons and a third grandson on the way!..My dh is an amazing man! Not only does he love me and our family very much, he built me my own cottage to sew and craft. He is also building us a Teardrop camper! I am a true Farmgirl at heart..My ultimate would be to have acreage so we could raise Alpacas and chickens...I love being a stay at home wife and making my home a place of comfort!
Mary Jane's farm magazine and books have made me feel like I am not alone in this fast paced world..Its so nice to have other like minded people to read about!..can't wait to dig around this forum!! |

Posted - Feb 06 2010 : 2:11:09 PM Hi Jayne! I'm from a bit south and west of you (i think, ;o)...)between Carlisle and Shippensburg. We love PA - it is so close to everything. We also have an acre and half and two children (teens - boy and a girl). My DH doesn't sound quite as "handy" as yours but every bit as loving. I was able to purchase a small building for my crafting and was blessed to find a 1975 FAN Lee Line camper that he's going to help me spiff up. Whenever spring arrives, that is. Have fun digging around on the site - it's awesome!!
Blessings, staci : ) |

Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 08:11:52 AM Welcome Jayne!
We're not too far away from each other. I'm in Cresco, PA up near Mt. Pocono. I go to the Allentown area quite often - many visits to Tractor Supply in Trexlertown!
I have to tell you a funny story about the first time I went to Quakertown. I used the GPS for directions, and the voice on the GPS kept calling it QUACKERtown (Quack like a duck) - I laughed so hard I almost missed the turn!
