Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 12:24:44 PM Hi - my name is Judy, my husband Frank and I are fortunate to live in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas - just outside of Council Grove. We have 3 horses and two dogs. It's pretty muddy right now, but that just means moisture for the flowers, trees and the vegetable garden that will be started in April. I quilt, hand embroider and love to cook - when I'm not working at my day job. Somehow we always find time to include the things we love in our lives. |

Coming from the Seattle area where all we can see on the horizon is trees, mountains, and lots of cloud cover, being out on the prairie where you can see for miles in any direction is really an awesome experience. Glad to have you join us! Once you find your way around you will find lots friends with the same interests. You'll feel right at home in no time.

Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 3:04:35 PM HI Judy from another Judy. Welcome! I'm in NE Ohio. You made my mouth water talking 'bout fresh chicken and noodles. My mama makes homemade noodles every holiday for our dinners. Gotta love that. My nephews all make them too. That's unusual for boys but they love to cook, all of them. And they're all in the Army and Air Force! They even bake pies. I'm proud of them. Glad to have you here. Enjoy rummaging around.

Posted - Feb 04 2010 : 12:35:24 PM thanks - my husband thinks I'm too optimistic at times. But I don't care. I just downloaded mary jane's holiday apron pattern, and I think I'm going to try it (I love to sew aprons). I rolled out homemade noodles this afternoon and am heading into the Grove for a chicken - will make a tasty supper. Thanks for the Welcome! judy |
