Posted - Feb 09 2010 : 04:32:03 AM Hi my name is Stacey, as you probably have already guessed I am new here. I live in Portage county, if there are any groups in that area I would sure appreciate it if you could point me that way. A little about myself, I am single, never married, no kids. I have a cat with a serious attitude problem named Pepper. I have three neices and four nephews ranging in age from 14 months to 22 years. I work full-time as an ultrasound tech and I am a part-time college student. I just started back to school after twenty years, last month. I am going for a four year degree in English Literature with the intention of going on for a master's in Librarian Sciences. My interest and hobbies include knitting, hiking, reading and I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer. I have no typing skills to speak of so be prepared for lots of typos! Lol! My biggest adventure so far in life was hiking 17 miles in one day along the southern rim of the Grand Canyon with my best friend. I look forward to getting to know you all better and to making some new friends! |

Posted - Feb 09 2010 : 07:44:00 AM Hi Stacey...Welcome.We're neighbors. I live in Louisville, just across a "hill and valley!" Nice to meet you. I also wish we had a Farmgirl Chapter close by. There use to be one in Portage county but it disbanded. Lack of interest she said when I called. I'm 55 and married, but never had kids either. My kids all have fur. haha At the moment we just have Rascal-The-Cat(he lives up to his name) Kizzy, my housebunny, he has an attitude problem too-"I DO NOT like men Mom!" hahahahah And my Rattie-girl, Tippy. She's my 'lil pocket buddy! I really enjoy my camera too and like to walk. Anything I can do to keep moving is all-right with me, I'm not a "settin' hen." haha WOW! Going back to school...Good For You!!! I've always wanted to go to Massage Therapy School, but funds have been tight since I quit working. I love to be home to do things, but miss that money! ;-)
