Posted - Feb 09 2010 : 09:33:48 AM Hello, I am Betty Jo and I have been gone about a year. I have to admit. I got caught up in the rush of the world. Left my Simplistic Life behind to join the rat race, searching for... I really do not even remember any more. I am so glad to be back to what has been missing in my life. Women who think like I do, enjoy the simple things in life, and would not find it funny to find an enameled compost bin under my sink. Women who look at an old coat and see a funky new bag, mittens, or in a quilt. Last week I was handed a job transfer that cuts my income in half, does not lend it's self to getting a second job as the hours are all over. DH's business is Very slow (he restores antique motorcycles)and like everyone else a ton of bills. The Door really slammed shut! 24 hours of tantruming, 5 days of heavy praying, 2 days of morning, I actually am SOOOO EXCITED. A Window opened right next to that shut door. I still have a job with health insurance, and the time to chase my dreams. As I am writing this is is snowing to beat the band and I am in such peace. I am so excited to see what you all have been doing. Woo Hoo!!! I'm back to simple!!!!!! P.S. My blog is so outdated but please stop by once in a while. There will be some funs things added.

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 4:22:03 PM Hello Betty Jo from the Sunshine State! Glad that you are back to the Farmgirls. How easiy we are swayed towards the images and materialistic ways of life. It's good to know that deep in your heart the "Simplistic" way of life is so rewarding. We learn to live with less and actually find more happiness within ourselves. Less really is more. Hope to have the opportunity to chat with you sometime. Welcome Back!

Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 4:07:46 PM HI Betty Jo I'm not going to say welcome back because to me it is our frist welcome all together. Life has a way of trying to tell us what we must do. Really if we have, food, shelter and a means (feet) to get around anything is possible. I learned a long time ago, do as you want and feel, not as others tell you and all things will work out. Wishing you the best from Virginia. Lilly
