Hello Everyone!
This is Carla in Colorado. My registration finally went through and I now get to share with all of you!
While they where trying to fix my registration problem I was looking at all the wonderful things all you Farmgirls have been producing and doing. What a great bunch you’all are. I am glad to get to participate and learn things here.

My contribution to the world is history. I Am a Family History Researcher and a photo archivist. My ongoing job is to make sure that family histories are researched and family stories are brought to light so that they will be available for generations to come. I help others research and write the stories down so they will end up in print. I help others get their family pictures reproduced so they can be shared with cousins and others [and what fun for me – I get to look at all those wonderful photos].
I’m probably going to end up being a 20 Century History teacher at the local college. I finish my Master’s in Adult Education on the 22 of March, 2010. About three weeks from now!
Then I’ll have a couple of months to do some things for merit badges!
Smiles!
Carla

Welcome from the Fingerlakes region of NY. Family history, it is great to have it preserved. Your job certainly has to be interesting. I've come to a standstill on both my and hubby's side.
Have fun with the merit badges. I'm just starting there.

Great idea collection phones. I have some old phones but I keep them in use just because I like them. I have Inslators as well use them as door stops and book ends. I am glad you are a happy vet. My dad was a 30 year man. So I lived the military life of love and hate it always. Now at 56 I can see it as a whole made me a better person. Moving and learning all the time. One learns more by moving then in the school system. Keep in touch. My DH and I start a USA trip in May home to Pa. to Washington state on to Alaska then back home. We cannot wait. Lilly

Hi Lillian,
Phonelady is for the other hobby I keep.
I collect old telephones and I was responsible for the military communications web site [I am a Veteran].
http://www.myinsulators.com/commokid/
I have to update the page but you can see my collection, my Alaska trip and the old phones'
The fun part for me was gathering up all these old phone advertisements [brings back memories]

Anyway, another aspect of our history.
