Hello from south central Kansas near Wichita. We don't farm but we live in the country. I did grow up on a crop, cattle, and hog farm in Missouri. I am a para-educator at a middle school and my husband is a maintance electrician at an aircraft company. We have 3 grown or almost grown daughters. We did not want to raise our children in the city so we moved to the country. I mostly grow flowers but I have to have fresh garden tomatoes. I may try a few more this summer. I have several hobbies, actually too many. I try to watercolor paint, cross-stitch, loom knitting, desktop publishing, family history, reading, and other arts & crafts. I, also, love to dance and have taken belly dance classes. I can't wait to here from some of you. I am active in my church, also.

Hi Katherine, Welcome, you will love this forum!! Just jump in and enjoy! Hey, Brenda and I hope to meet up at a halfway point one day. Maybe those of us somewhat close can plan an outing and have a 'farmgirl' time. Maybe we could form a farmgirl chapter? There are 2 ladies in Hutchinson on the forum too. Lets think about that. Connie and Katherine, I went with my daughter to Greensburg area to pick up a puppy for their family yesterday? Are you in that area? And the Bassett pup is adjusting well and is SOOO cute!!!

Katherine DGS loves it at Butler, he's been Asst. Football Coach for his two years there. This weekend he and Dad are taking off for Kentucky State. They have been trying to get him down there and has finally given him a pretty good offer. Asst. FB Coach with room and board paid. So I'll be waiting for them to get home and see what they think. He has always been a very bright boy, but really didn't put in to HS what he could. But since going to Butler he has done wonderfully. Grades are great and his effort is non-stop. He's very commited to the job they game him. And I believe that he may have a good future ahead of him.

I wish I had your daughter here, I could really use a massage!! This old body is slowin' down.

Connie, so good to see your not to far away. Linda and I have emailed alot and someday soon, we hope we'll be able to get together. It would be great if we could get all our Mo. and KS. girls to a central meet up place.

Well I got alittle carried away on the GS, sorry, But aren't grandkids the best!!

Have a great day,
Brenda

Katherine,
Welcome to the neighborhood, I live about 30 minute south and a little west of Rock In Geuda Springs Ks. I'm south of Oxford Ks.
I've wondered if there were any farmgirls in Kansas and last night on another topic found Linda in the Wichita area, also Janneana in Ft. Scott and now I see Brenda isn't far away either. Our world is getting smaller by the minute. I hope to hear from you.
