After lurking around for a couple of months I decided to take the plunge and join in.

I am 49 years old, married to my high school sweetheart for almost 30 years and have an 18 year old son who is graduating this year!

We live on what was my husbands families farm, even though we no longer own any livestock. Though I wasn't raised on a farm, I spent alot of time at my grandparents farm and just loved it there.

I am a big time gardener and raise a fairly large vegetable garden and well as flower gardens.

I'm just an old fashioned girl with old fashioned values!

Thanks for letting me a part of your forums!

Linda

Welcome - isn't living in the country the best. My husband ranched for 20 years after retiring from the military. I loved living in the country. So when he decided to retire from ranching, we purchased 10 acres and built our home. I have my pet chickens, 5 sheep, and 3 miniture ponies. I love the country life.

Welcome, Linda. I love to travel to VA in the Blueridge Mts. I just joined here, too, but haven't sent in my sisterhood fee yet. Maybe I can in April. My money is short after driving home from New Mexico.
