This is all new to me so here goes.....
I love the farm life! We have nubian goats, chickens, muscovy ducks, rabbits, cats (for mouse patrol) & 1 guinea (who thnks he is a chcken!) :) I make my own soap, quilt, knit, crochet, cook, read, stamp, draw, sew, & garden. I have 2 grown children & 1 grandson. Life is good! (most of the time!)

Hi Karla and welcome You sound very busy with wonderful things. Isn't it fun to do what you love? I am building my first raised beds for gardening this year. We also made a fire pit so I could learn outdoor cooking like the pioneer ladies! So much to do and so little time

Go to www.guineafowl.com & you should be able to find a picture of what one looks like. There are different colors & I have a pearl guinea-he has polka dots on him! He is a funny critter!

hahahahaah....Thanks for explaining Karla. I just couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how a guinea pig would act like a chicken! hahahahaaha

It sounds like you have the farm before you joined in. Never herd of a African Guinea bird. The other gray ones yes. That is new to me. Must tell you you will love this site and if you really get started you will get hooked. Welcome from Lilly in Virginia.

Not a guinea pig but a African Guinea bird! He is the funniest thing we have. He is soooo ugly he is cute!!! My husband thought when his red showed up on his head that he injured himselfon the fence until I showed him a picture of what an African guinea looked like! He is great on bugs & ticks! Want to get more!!!!
I have the bug to plant but still too much snow on the ground. I think I am going to get my cold frame ready though to put in some spinach & lettuce! Yeah here comes the garden!!!
