I'm new to the site and so excited to get started. I live in a suburban area in Northeast Pennsylvania, but dream of owning a farm some day. I have recently taken up knitting and I have just signed up to volunteer on a horse farm. I have been a MaryJanesFarm magazine subscriber for more than a year and look forward to using the site to talk to women with interests like mine!

Sounds great to me - e-mail me when you get time and we'll figure something out! I'm going away for the next 4 days, so will be off-line until I get back.

Have a great Easter!

Hi Luanne,
I have never been to Kraemer's but hear it is AMAZING. I would love to do a farm girl get-together someday - maybe lunch and Kraemer's or Hobby Lobby?

To everyone else who has posted to me,
Thank you all for such amazing tips and the warm welcome as I get started on the site. I am having so much fun!

Ooooh - I just love Hobby Lobby - I spend a lot of time there! I also admire them for standing up for their principles and closing on Sundays. Since you are down in that area, do you know anything about Kraemer's yarns in Nazareth? I saw their ad on the web, but have never been there. Maybe we could meet at Hobby Lobby some day and have a good farmgirl chat (love the Chinese restaurant next door)!

Hello from another newbee here! I am having a blast and I'm sure you will too! I am in love with the virtual porch under "A Farm Of My Own" in the forums. You'll find your own favorite spot or you could check my favorite one out.

Hi Beekeepeersgirl!
You won't believe this - I went to Hobby Lobby this afternoon on the way home from work to pick up knitting and embroidery supplies! I am knitting my mother a shawl for Mother's Day and needed some yarn.

Wow - you are close to me!! We go to the Blue Mountain engine shows in Bangor several times a year (including in the snow last October), plus I often go through Bangor if I want to avoid traffic on Rt. 33 and am going to Wegmans in Wilson or the Hobby Lobby - love that store!!
