Ohh, I'm so excited to begin my new adventure here with all of my farmgirl sisters. Even though I don't live on a farm, I'm surrounded by them here in SE Iowa...my grandmas would be so proud and would probably want to come "chat" daily. This seems to be our 21st version of the old Iowa Radio Homemakers days .

I have a lot of interests. I play/teach guitar, love to read, have a small but mighty herb/veggie garden, adore my red & white enamelware themed kitchen, and refer to those of us in the Midwest not as "Steel Magnolias" but "Iron Irises".

Love all of my new farmgirl sisters !!!

Hey,Lin, we are on opposite sides of the state! You look over the "wide Missouri" & I see the "mighty Mississippi " literally every day. Are the lilacs blooming up there yet? Mine are starting to get there..it seems so early to me this year. I have a row of them...the deep purple French ones and the good old fshioned light lavendar shaded bushes, too. Have you heard about a garden that is dedicated specifically to lilacs in Des Moines ? Just wondering

Blessings for a beautiful weekend !!!

You are right,Linda, jumping right in is the only way to go !!! Isn't that how we gals do most things anyway ?! And to ALL of my Farmgirl sisters thanks for making me feel SO welcome ...I love this! And what a perfect time of year to join the Farmgirl Connection with all of the flowers bursting out. My hostas are "unfurling" at a furious pace with all of this warm weather. Hi Rochelle! Jump right into the forums and have fun! Many of us are in the 'city' or apts, etc so no worries. Its the farm and ranch heart that we love!! My grandma would have loved this as well. She is the one who gave me a 'farmgirl heart'! Linda
