Posted - Apr 05 2010 : 06:06:05 AM Ohh, I'm so excited to begin my new adventure here with all of my farmgirl sisters. Even though I don't live on a farm, I'm surrounded by them here in SE Iowa...my grandmas would be so proud and would probably want to come "chat" daily. This seems to be our 21st version of the old Iowa Radio Homemakers days .

Posted - Apr 16 2010 : 06:05:36 AM I have a lot of interests. I play/teach guitar, love to read, have a small but mighty herb/veggie garden, adore my red & white enamelware themed kitchen, and refer to those of us in the Midwest not as "Steel Magnolias" but "Iron Irises".
Love all of my new farmgirl sisters !!! Rochelle |

Posted - Apr 16 2010 : 06:00:58 AM Hey,Lin, we are on opposite sides of the state! You look over the "wide Missouri" & I see the "mighty Mississippi " literally every day. Are the lilacs blooming up there yet? Mine are starting to get there..it seems so early to me this year. I have a row of them...the deep purple French ones and the good old fshioned light lavendar shaded bushes, too. Have you heard about a garden that is dedicated specifically to lilacs in Des Moines ? Just wondering
Blessings for a beautiful weekend !!! Rochelle |
