Hello Everyone!
I'm so excited to have joined a chapter and this sisterhood. Who would have thought sooo many people could feel the same about so much. I'm amazed. Alot of friends and family thought I was nuts when I decided to spend my summer in the woods of ME in a slide-in camper and a platform tent with my two little boys. Memories like that are everything. Open fire cooking, foraging, fishing and nature. I love this farmgirl connection, so many tips, recipes and life experiences. It's hard to stop reading about you all!

Hi from southern PA, Cathey!
Your kids are/were lucky - camping is the best.
Family time, campfire food, fun and God's creation - the combination is just about unbeatable.

Welcome Cathey! Spending the summer in the woods of Maine must have been an experience! What fun you must have had. You should or must tell us more about your adventures there. I am very interested.

Welcome Cathey!! That does sound like a great summer - we did a lot of VW bus camping too when I was a kid and those memories are precious.

Welcome from Georgia, Cathey. That sounds like a great summer. My dad was a teacher and we had 3 full months. We traveled all over the country in a VW bus. We'd pull over on the side of the road or by a creek or river and camp. Or in the desert. Lots of fun memories. We also camped alot when our 2 daughters were younger.
