Posted - May 06 2010 : 7:31:04 PM I’m Ellen Livesay, Artist Ambassador for Change Your Food - Change Your Life! (Dennis also calls me his ‘Cool Jazz’ Vocalist from Taos.) Change Your Food - Change Your Life!™, founded by our Good Food Guide, Dennis L. Weaver, is a FUN, high-energy GOOD HEALTH education company designed to inform, encourage, coach and INSPIRE people to make 100% Organic Good Food Choices, FOODS that are LIFE-GIVING, NOT life-diminishing.
Change Your Food - Change Your Life! is FULL of song, story, good-natured humor and Good Food Friends. One evening several months ago, Dennis and I got to talking about what would be the NEXT FUN thing to do.
“How about CELEBRATING an Organic Farm?” one of us said.
During our wide-ranging creative session that evening, Dennis mentioned a little note he had written for the dust jacket on MaryJane Butters’ first book back in 2004: "MaryJane is the organic sugar in our tea, the all natural jam on our whole wheat toast! On the pages of MaryJane’s Gathering Place she captures the sweetness and light of a bygone era and brings it to our lives and tables today! What a peach."
So from that idea session, our new song, MaryJanesFarm, is our lyrical tribute to MaryJanesFarm. MaryJanesFarm is a reflection of simpler days and simpler ways, but very 2010 COOL! We capture in song, the spirit, the playfulness, the personality and the sunny heart of MaryJanesFarm. The two SOLOS are especially playful and sunny! As one listener commented, “I love the melody, the lyrics and the voice! Very fun and upbeat. I can't believe all that got packed into one song. It sure had me groovin'. That song made me want to pack my bags and be a farm girl.” - Patty
Even before we released MaryJanesFarm, it got its FIRST review! Dennis told me he was having a Shade Grown, Fair Trade, Organic Coffee at Caffe Ladro and playing MaryJanesFarm in the background while he was composing an e-mail. A fellow by the name of Charles happened to be listening, and when he heard THAT last phrase in MaryJanesFarm, he said, “I’d pay a cover to hear HER sing!”
And another MaryJanesFarm review sent to us: “I think Ellen could sing a section of legal text and it would sound amazing. Looks like I should stop in and say Hi! to MaryJanesFarm and let them know I was inspired by Ellen Livesay’s beautiful song!” - Kristin
I would LOVE to share MaryJanesFarm with you, my Sisters! After all, MaryJanesFarm CELEBRATES YOU! Just send me an e-mail Jazz@EllenLivesay.com and I’ll send you an Mp3 of MaryJanesFarm. ENJOY!.
And then, when you have a moment, would you be so kind as to send me a quick music ‘review’. “Thanks!”

I’d LOVE to put "MaryJanesFarm" up for your Farmgirl Sisterhood, after all, I wrote it for you, but I can’t figure out how technically to do it on this MJF Chatroom thread. Can you tell me how to add your song to the MJF Chatroom thread?
