Posted - May 18 2010 : 03:11:29 AM I have been reading Mary Jane's magazine for several years now - and enjoy it - and so decided to take this next step (which I just found out about - missed it in the past!) I live right in the Mohawk Valley area of central NY - in the foothills of the Adirondacks. I like to sew, quilt, knit, read, hike, kayak, bike, walk, and am a Master Gardener for my county. I have a veggie garden and every year my flower gardens just seem to get bigger and bigger. :) I have 3 married daughters and 6 1/2 grandchildren. :)
Looking forward to learning from and with you all. |

Posted - May 19 2010 : 05:00:09 AM HI Dianna -
I don't keep the bees myself, but the fellow I have been dating for the past 3 years is a beekeeper. He currently has 6 hives, but is hoping to split each one this spring so he will have 12. I help as much as I can with the care, extracting, bottling, etc.

Do you keep bees? I did for several years and am thinking of going back to it. Thanks for the welcome! |
