Hello All! I found this most wonderful magazine at the beginning of the year and fell in love instantly! I mentioned it to a close friend (whom I would consider a farmgirl sister) and she secretly bought me a subscription!
I am a wife of 14 years, mother of two - daughter is going on 11, and son is 9, and a licensed massage therapist. I specialize in mostly energetic therapies such as Reiki and Quantum Touch, with Spiritual work as well. I love learning, sharing, experiencing, teaching, and practicing my 'lessons' that life brings! I love art and creative expression. I am blessed that my children also share these ideas! I have sewn since I was a little girl. I have a keepsake quilt that my grandmother - who taught me to sew - let me stitch on when I was about seven. She sewed for a living, and out of 8 children, only two have kept it going. My mother is one, who still sews from time to time. Myself and one cousin are the ones left carrying it forward. This would be just one common thread I believe I share with this wonderful community of sisters! We are all, in our own ways, carrying forward ideas of creativity and sustainability and the feeling of sharing creates such a wonderful resonation, I just had to be a part! Even if it's just a small one!
Thanks for all who contribute and hold space for such an idea to grow!
Sending virtual hugs!~~~

Welcome from central Vermont! I am new as well! It sounds like you are very busy and and keeping the age old art of sewing alive. I also enjoy sewing and always hand-stitch most of my aprons and quilts etc. Glad you have joined us.
