Hello again. I was here a several years ago, but haven't posted in awhile due to the death of my husband and getting resettled. (I'm now recently remarried to a wonderful man and longtime family friend.) We both have grown children and he has many grandchildren.

I live in Texas and work for a local television station. I love the simple life, amateur photography, embroidery, collage art, gardening, pets and family...but not necessarily in that order. I write a lot of poetry and enjoy graphic design.

Nice to be here again. I always found it to be so friendly..and I LOVE the magazine!

Wonderful to meet you all. What a wonderful group of gals!!

I'll turn 60 next month and often wish I had bought the farm! BUT...I can still embrace the country life.
I live only blocks from it. :)

Hi Shelley! Sorry to hear about the death of your husband. So happy that you found somebody else. Welcome & welcome back! I too LOVE the magazine. I also love coming to this site to find helpful info & to chat with like-minded women from all over the map. This site is very refreshing to be a part of. It's not just for enjoyment and entertainment, it has purpose also. Same with the magazine and the MJ books. It's encouraging me to be more creative & frugal, using what I have around the house with a goal in mind to spend less $ & make good use of our abundance. Blessings to you!! Hope to see you around the boards. :)
