I am real new here, have already met some wonderful farmgirls too. I just realized that I posted my introduction to me in the Keeping in Touch forum instead of here on the Welcome Wagon.
So you can read about me there too-lol
I am a retired farmgirl, but I grew up with country girl knowledge from my Mom and Grandma. I spent many of my school vacations with my grandparents who lived on a working farm, passed down thru the generations. I learned how to drive a tractor from my grandpa, and learned so much in the kitchen from my grandma-I still have one of her aprons-she was never in the kitchen without one.
I have canned, gardened, since I was a little girl. This morning I am experimenting with the no sugar pectin to make up a batch of my wild blackberries with a mango diced in. I am using up what I have on hand, and then I am anxious to try MaryJanes gel.
We live in the woods here in the ozarks of Missouri, exploring my creatinve self again. I love hanging out my laundry and listening to all the song birds-just really gives me a good feeling.
We are redoing our new home here-totally-the project I am working on finishing up this year is our bathroom. I am making a rock shower, will also set rocks half up the wall around our claw foot tub, and then will play with the walls too-with some faux techniques using tissue paper and wall paper paste for the texutre technique.
I will share photos thru my blog site so you all are welcome to stop by. Excited to be here-Kathy

Hi Kathy from another Missouri farmgirl. Well I better correct that statement. I'm a farmgirl from Kansas city and moved to a small farming town. Have been here for 35 years and the country has grown on me. So happy to have you with us. We have a henhouse called the Scattered Prairie Gals. You might want to check us out. Just relax and enjoy all the forums. There are a great group of girls here. If you have any questions, just ask and someone will find you the answer. Have fun! Your going to love it here.

Hugs, Brenda
