Posted - Jul 13 2010 : 4:45:06 PM hello everyone, my name is meissa, or mel or mellee for short. was raised in the country only to move to the city at 18 for college and promptly met and married my husband there. after 25 years of living in the city, i am happy to say we will be moving the family back to where i grew up as soon as our house sells. i am about all things simple and natural, and having won my husband over to my way of thinking i cannot wait for the benefits of simple living to evelope our lives.
i love gardening, reading, crocheting, and cooking. i hope to meet up with some ladies who share similar interests. |

Posted - Jul 17 2010 : 12:43:26 PM hi nance, sounds like you have the best of both worlds. i am starting to doubt selling the house quickly in this market. and yes, the summer is the hottest there has been in quite a while. thank goodness for the beaches and the pools! getting together sounds like a wonderful idea; and if there are any other virginia ladies out there that would like to get together for tea or brunch i am up for it. enjoy france, mel |

Posted - Jul 17 2010 : 08:17:20 AM Greetings, Melissa! Glad you found this forum filled with friendly gals. My husband and I split the year between his home in southern France and my home in Norfolk, Virginia. If you have not sold your home before the end of the year, perhaps we can get together some day. I will be back in Norfolk mid October through New Year's Day or so. Meanwhile, keep cool (I hear summer is a scorcher this year), and enjoy this place; there is so much to learn from each other. Hugs, Nance |
