Posted - Aug 04 2010 : 2:42:50 PM Hey there Lida, Susan and June! Whoa June - you are next door! I'm really excited about this website, waiting for my official farmgirl stuff to come in the mail. I enjoy antiquing, gardening, outdoor activities. I'm hoping this website will boost my energy to try some things I keep telling myself "someday". I have an antique spinning wheel that I would like to learn how to spin my own fiber. I have a treadle sewing machine that I am in the process of refinishing that I would like to sew a project on. My husband of 30 yrs and I have a cabin totally off grid that I dream of living at (still off grid) when we retire. Husband says I'm nuts! I've raised rabbits and chickens in the past. Miss the chickens - no more fresh brown eggs!

Posted - Aug 04 2010 : 09:45:29 AM Welcome from Minnesota. Are you anywhere near Fonda, NY? We have a dear old friend living there. How about telling us a bit more about yourself and your farmgirl ways? I'm a retired elementary teacher, married for 39 years to my DH. We have 3 grown children, but no grandchildren yet. GArdening takes up the majority of our time, spring, summer and fall, with garden planning and seed starting slipping into the winter. Susan

Posted - Jul 29 2010 : 09:08:59 AM Welcome from a Florida farmgirl. I visited NY twice and I must say it does have variety and flair. I drove both times. First with my cousin when my daugher was 2 and the 2nd time by myself when she was 5. What an expereince that was.
