Posted - Aug 05 2010 : 4:24:26 PM I'm not sure this is the correct forum to ask this question, but here goes. Do merit badges have to be earned in order? That is, do you have to earn a beginner badge first and work your way up, or can you earn an intermediate badge or higher without ever earning a beginner badge? Just curious.

Yes the badges do have to be earned in order. We are aware that many of our Sisterhood members are already experts in some categories, so in cases like that we try to encourage them to share their knowledge with someone else to fulfill the badge requirements. You can always post questions on the forum or you can email questions to: meritbadges@maryjanesfarm.org
