Posted - Oct 07 2010 : 4:02:58 PM I am new to the Farm Girl Sisterhood. I have been reading post for a while and just officially joined the Sisterhood today. I love reading all of the posts and I am looking forward to earning badges and making new friends.
I grew up in the suburbs in the middle of the vegetable capitol of the world, so I have been around farming my entire life. Mostly large commercial farms with migrate workers though. I only actually lived on a farm for a short while when I spent the summer on my grandparents working farm in my early teens. I have always been a true farm girl at heart though. I have reconnected with that part of me over the last ten years as I have switched to eating organic and have participated in local CSA's, farmers markets and visited many local organic farms and dairies.
I also love sewing and crocheting and have been trying to make time to get back into making many of my own clothes, scarves, bags, etc.
I think this forum will be a wonderful place. I am looking forward to reading and sharing ideas with everyone.
