I totally am sold out for MJF! My biggest wish is to own the sweet little camper! Have you seen it on the product list? SO cute!! and I think I should retire early so I can travel all over meeting other farmgirls in it! I was wondering if you other gals have been using the flour to make sourdough bread? I love love love sourdough bread and just need to order some! I am going to try the chillover with some blackberries this weekend, I think it will make awesome jam and maybe a cobbler too! Do I sound like an ad? Didn't mean too! I am very excited to be here! Hope to "meet up" with you other girls here!

Welcome, Ann, from Oregon; in fact I live just over the hills from Coos Bay and visit Bandon, Charleston, and Coos Bay as often as we can. The Bay area is home to some of my favorite antique stores.

Welcome Ann!

Count me in as yet another east coast/west coast -- midwest -- settled in WA farmgirl, who loves the trees and seasons.

Hope you connect up with all the Tacoma gals--I'm on the east side of the state, Spokane area.

Have fun

Hi Ladies, thank you all for the posts!
and Laura, I was born in Denton, my mom lives in a little place called Matador, the rest of my family is scattered all over the state. I find the very thought of living without tree's a nightmare! It may be rainy and cool here a lot, but it's my kind of place. Where is Elk, is that up near Mt Rainier? I would love to find some more farmgirls in the area.
Lisa, I've been a little low so haven't used my chillover yet, but the berries are in the freezer so one of these weekends when I get a second wind!

Hi, Ann. What part of Texas? I was born in Germany, raised in El Paso, moved to CA after high school and ended up in WA, which I really like. So tired of living in deserts. I needed colors other than brown and seasons. Snow coming this week, so I guess I'll be seeing white.

We named our chapter "NW Country Angels" I cant wait to try the chillover, did you get a chance to try yours? Take Care and have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

I love Wapato Park!! Do they still have all of the geese? My husband's aunt lives off of 72nd...but she is in Lakewood. When we left, Lakewood was going downhill. Has it improved at all? I am going to end up picking your brain since we may be returning to Ft. Lewis. DH's family would have us move next door if they could so I would value someone's unbiased input. lol

Hi Najia,
You wouldn't be able to smell the Tacoma Aroma now, they fixed that problem! I live close to Wapato Park on 72nd St. IF they hadn't fixed the smell I would still live out towards Graham too! LOL!!

Hi Katmom!
we have two wonderful Kat-kids too! and a Quaker Parrot kid also, who is solely my husbands pet. Our other human children are all grown. I love the fact that you can grow such wonderful stuff on the east side of the state, I am still trying to convince myself that the heat is worth it! Thanks for the note!

Hi herblady55!
It has been really easy to get caught up in MJF, I am so surprised I never found it before. I actually purchased my first magazine in an airport last year and with that and the other mags I am more and more finding out that what I want to be when I finally grow up (51 now) is a farmgirl!

Hi Ann, You sound just like the rest of us when we found MJFarm Magazine. We all went Ga-Ga for it! I love it here. It's been a busy Summer, so I haven't been on a lot....BUT....hooray....Winter's a'comin. More time to spend with my FarmGal Buddies!

Well, We have usually hot and dry summers, getting over 100 some days each year. Some years we have little snow, like last year and others we have record-breaking amounts , So it depends on the year. The Palouse is pretty and mostly rolling farmland. Moscow is a nice little town and I wish it wasn't expanding as much as it is...Ahhh well. I love it and yet still miss the greener side of the cascades a lot some days. Glad to "Meet" you =)

You have a good weekend!
