Just wanted to introduce myself as I am just beginning to look around on here.

I am a SAHM to 3 kiddos (DD~11, DS~9, and DS~22 months). My husband and I live and work on my Dad's ranch. We have cows and horses. We used to have sheep but had to sell them all due to the coyotes. My husband also works as a Blaster at one of the coal mines north of us. I am able to stay home and homeschool our kids as the nearest school is an hour away. As we speak though, the "neighbors" have all gotten together to try to get a rural school opened up out our way! Finally, there are enough kids around here to hopefully get one.

I love to quilt, sew, scrapbook and other general crafts. I love cooking and baking for my family as well. We raise our own beef and I am fortunate to have a friend who has chickens and I get eggs from her. Someday, I am going to get my own chickens. (I am still working on my Dad about chickens!! hehe!)

I can't really think of anything else about me. We are finally done with our "fall work" so I have a bit more time. Although now we are into our "winter work": feeding cattle, calves, opening water etc... It really never ends...just a new season.

Loved the magazine and that is what brought me here!!

Maybe even more surprising as you both are cattlemen. Dave and Francie actually live by the Orin Jct exit and raise natural beef under their company name: Claus Natural Beef. They let us know about your bad weather before it makes it too us. Today was somewhat nicer but wow was Thanksgiving Day cold! Below zero windchills after a reasonably balmy November was a little hard to take. We're still wimps the first time we see it.

Anyway...have a good week!

Nope, I don't know them. You'd think in a town this size I would have at least heard of them, but no. :) Oh well, worth a try! The weather would like to be nice here, it just can't due to the wind!!! Hopefully it is nicer tomorrow as we are working cows in the morning.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'd like to send our cold weather to Florida, too! We were able to burn some Thanksgiving calories just bundling up and making the mad dash to the vehicle and then jumping up and down while the vehicle warmed up.

Our friends are Douglas transplants - Dave and Francie Claus. Awesome people!

Would love to send this cold and wind your way Marsha!! I do believe last night we were quite a bit below 0 with the wind chill. And today the wind is howling!!

Penny~ I wonder if I know your friends? I have lived here all my life so I may.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hey, there, from eastern South Dakota! We have fabulous friends in Douglas, WY so it's always a treat to visit your area. In fact, we honeymooned (in-laws and all) at Glendo.

Anyway, welcome. I don't get a chance to read the forum much anymore but glad to see your post so I can dredge up the memories!

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!

Welcome, Amanda~ We are ranchers down south in Baggs, WY. Have been hit with a lot of snow this past week, and are gearing up for winter feeding. We raise cattle, sheep and horses, and we also homeschool our son who is 15. Enjoy your time on the forum, you will find it to be a warm and wonderful place~

Karla~Thanks!! My family and I traveled to Iowa this year to visit my cousins. We were near Waterloo and I must say that driving there, I decided I really wanted to live there. Until the humidity hit!! But the rolling hills and trees and the GREEN!!! Absolutely beautiful! I wanted a farm, I will admit it. The scenery made me want one!!
