Posted - Dec 15 2010 : 8:17:29 PM I've been away for a looooonnngg time. I'll have to reintroduce myself. I'm still a 'chicken necker" down here on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, MD. "Chicken necker" is what the locals call someone who moved here from 'somewheres' else. When I first joined the sisterhood, I was not even close to living my farmgirl live that I grew up in. But finally, I'm getting warmer. Literally. My daughter and I have moved to wonderful little house in the woods surrounded by farm land. We heat the home with woodstoves and are starting to learn how to cook on them. Our long road here is an sordid long story, so I'll spare the details. However, we have found ourselves in an amazing life now and we are truly blessed. Welcome all the new (and numerous!) farmgirls and I look forward to chatting and getting to know you all!!

Posted - Dec 30 2010 : 05:33:00 AM Hi Margo, I am big into journaling as well. I've been keeping a journal since I was 8 years old. It is SO FUN to go back there and see my illustrated stories that I was really in to writing back then...or skip ahead to when our first child was born....I was a prolific writer.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult. - E. B. White |

Posted - Dec 21 2010 : 3:56:00 PM Hello, I Have a dear friend in Deale, the one near Annapolis. Which I think is on the Eastern shore. She has a small house on the Chesapeake Bay. Cooking on the woodstove makes the house smell wonderful.
Good Luck

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.
Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)
P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!! |
