HI, everyone! We're a military family, currently living at Ft Leavenworth. There's a lot here, more than the federal prison (outside the gate). There are military schools, other training programs, and yes, MPs. I became a Farmgirl, and have a couple of other friends here who are going to join, too. I am so excited! We're already planning our Victory Garden plot here. We grew a lot of veggies in my raised bed last summer, and took care of our friends' victory garden last year. This year we're going to get our own. My boys are excited and can't wait to help plan the garden. I just hope they're as excited about helping with the real work, too. ;)

Hi, Karin. Welcome to the group. Just look at what Mary Jane started. An old fashioned victory garden sounds wonderful.

I have only been here about 2 months and I feel so blessed by all the wonderful friends I am meeting here. I know exactly where you are,not far from where I am. Welcome karin,

We spent a few years living in Paola, south of KC. The weather was kind of spooky for this native Californian.

So happy to have you (and your boys) in the group. Hope we hear lots about your garden come spring.

Best of luck in '11

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
