Posted - Jan 03 2011 : 1:10:19 PM Hi All! My name is Tina. I am the mother of 4 awesome kids ages 21, 18, 15 and 8. My days are as busy as any mothers. I work outside the home as a Pre-K teacher but wish I were able to be a stay at home mom again. I just cant seem to get the hang of working and getting things done at home. My interest include God, my family, my friends, puttering around my little house, Gardening (ok, truth be told.. I aspire to have a garden )Sewing, Scrapbooking and anything creative. I draw. I read. I write. Love clothes drying on the line...especially sheets...morning glories on the fence..overgrown rose bushes...the way the ground smells after the rain...my next door neighbors hens clucking..simple pleasures. Looking forward to friendships formed here. |

Posted - Jan 13 2011 : 11:09:08 AM Welcome to the group. There is so much to offer from these wonderful sisters and I'm sure you have a lot to contribute too. I have found that some of these ladies have been in the exact same position that I am in (hypothetically), and the words that they convey are much better than watching Dr. Phil!!!

I have been to Woodland several times and enjoyed my visits. It takes me about 30 minutes though. I hope you meet lots more friends too from California and all across the country. Usually we have the same temperatures which are still too cold for me.
Do you have a favorite restaurant and store for crafts?

Posted - Jan 04 2011 : 08:55:01 AM Welcome Tina, Greetings from a transplanted SO. CAL gal, me! I tooooo luv morning glories, one of the things I miss about beingup here... back in Moorpark, I had morining glories coming up around my Almond tree, it was awesome to see the tree trunk wrapped in blue glories each moring. Then there are the Geraniumns,,,I so miss them...up here they are annuals and it slays me to pay good money for them only to have to toss them out come Winter. The 1st 2 years I would bring them(pots) in the house for the Winter,,,this year on the advice of friends I am tucked them away for dormancy...so we will see if I am successful....if not, guess who will be buying new plants! Where is Woodland CA? or are you in Woodland Hills?(the Valley as we called it).
