Hello everyone. I have lived in the country all my life. The only thing city about me is the air I breathe going through a mall. My husband and I live on Deep Creek Ranch. The land has been in his family since 1905. We raise cattle. I love to cook, read, travel, shop, do genealogy and anything to do with dirt. This site feels real comfy to me.

Welcome Pat! You are lucky to have the background you do...I've only known the city and didn't know what I was doing when I got started. That didn't start me from creating a little homestead right where I am though :D

I'm new too. This is my first night. Having a great time looking around. My first magazine arrived in the middle of this winter storm, and I've been loving it.

Great to be introduced to so many wonderful blogs as well.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
