My name is Mary and I live on an acre on the Long Beach Peninsula. We have a garden and grown stawberries, blackberries, and sylvan berries, too. Each year we have lived here, we have added more. Last year we ha a wonderful crop of potatoes.

I love art and do altered art, quilting without rules , sewing, and some beading. I have a shop on etsy (see below) and a blog (see below) of the art group I attend each Tuesday...more country gals. We encourage each other to try all kinds of art projects. This week we are trying a new card to make.

I am new to this and have really enjoyed this site.

Welcome, Mary! I love the Long Beach Penninsula, it is such a beautiful and fun place. A few years back we purchased 5 acres on Sandpoint Rd on the east side but turned around and sold it when we realized we really couldn't move that far from our ageing parents. It is one of the Pacific Northwests best kept secrets; though not so secret any more.

Hey Tracy, are you the YogiFarmGirl from Etsy? I'm Green Fingers over there, and if you're who I think you are we've "met" before.

Hi, my name is Tracy and I live in Cool, Ca. where we have an organic veggie farm. My husband dragged me kicking and screaming, once I got over my temper tantrum, I LOVE IT and can't get enough. This has started a fire in me to continue to be as sustainable as possible!

I enjoy this site and your magazine very much!

Thanks,
YogiFarmGirl

Hey Mary, nice to meetcha. I have such admiration for quiltmakers, that's something I haven't really dipped in to yet. My sewing skills aren't so spiffy, but I'm practicing by making myself aprons.

A big Wisconsin hay dare to ya Mary! We are so glad you joined us. Maybe you and your art group should form a henhouse! I am going to check out your etsy shop.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
