Hi My name is Trudy. I am new to the forum, I live in the upstate area of South Carolina, very near the mountains on a wooded 2 acre wanna be farm. I am 52, a mom to a son in the army and a beautiful daughter. I raise chickens, and puppy dogs. We moved here 2 years ago to escape the snowy cold winters of northern Michigan. I love to knit and crochet and I am always looking for new patterns and interesting blogspots from girls who knit and crochet. I have been a reader of Mary Janes magazine for a while and I was thrilled when I found this website. I really love what I have seen so far and I am sure that I will be a very frequent visitor. Please feel free to share your favorite knit and crochet websites with me !

thanks for the welcome ladies. I really like it here already. I like to knit just about anything or at least give it a good try. I have knit clothes and toys for the grand kids. I have done dishcloths and washcloths forever cause the family requests them every year. I have been crocheting hats and mittens for the up north grand kids and I am just about to finish a hoodie zip up sweater for me soon. I have done lots of afghans, and pot holders, and dishtowels . Basically if it involves yarn I try it and I have even taught my daughter and daughter in law how to crochet in the last 2 months and now they want to learn to knit!

Hi Trudy, I'm from Columbia SC. I am a knitter, if I come across any good patterns I'll send them your way. What type of things do you like to knit? I'm trying to learn to crochet but am having a very hard time getting the hang of it.

A big Wisconsin hay dare to ya Trudy! We are so glad you joined us. I know what you mean about the winters! SC is a beautiful state, my DD just moved back from the Columbia area. I have been down your way about 9 times in the last 4 years. I also crochet and am learning to knit. I have lots of websites to share and I will when I get home from work today.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
