I am new here and hope to make some new friends. My name is Alicia I live in KY, and am married to my Knight in Shinning Armor Eric. We both love to ride our Harleys during the summer and when weather permits. I am an avid quilter and have many for sale, and always have one of the quilting frame with others started. I love the summer and planting a garden when we have room. We are owned by two furbabies, Chance a lab mix,who only has three legs,we got from a rescue and Lobo who thinks he is a big dog weighing in at a wopping 4lbs. he is a toy poodle. Most of my time is spent sewing or cooking. Well thats me, I was born and raised in California and now Kentucky is my home.

Hello MomNanaWolf!
Hi from another "newbie". After reading the comments below, I just wanted to say Thank You for all that you do for the Shriner kids in your area. If I was any good at sewing, I would be glad to help out. You see, I was a former Shriners patient. I was allergic to the polio vaccine and ended up with polio at 4 years. It was difficult. But to be honest, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world! I am hoping to figure out something I can do for the kids at the Spokane Shriners Hospital. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to do so.

A big Wisconsin hay dare to ya Alicia! We are so glad you joined us. My DH and I had four motorcycles and loved riding the back country roads. We sold them so we can buy some land. I kind of miss it come summer. So cool that you make quilts for the Shriners. I am sure there are a lot of farmgirls here that have some squares or quilt tops they could send you. You should post a topic in the stitching section here.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Thanks for the welcome, hey! if you have any UFO blocks that you arn't going to use!!! I am going to make more quilts for the Shriners Hospital here in KY. I made three and they loved them. See after the kiddos have been burnt it is hard for them to stay warm, and having been through a lot they can use a bit of comfort. The quilts bring them that comfort, they don't have to be fancy just something they can snuggle up with. They are always running out of quilts as they send each child home with one. So if you have any spare fabric, blocks or just some scraps they would come in handy with the economy the way it is. Again thanks for the welcom
