I reside in Durango Colorado and am excited as all get out over this group. My husband teased me saying I was a giddy as a school girl over my new membership. He's probably right. I'm not very computer savvy but I look forward to all the things I can explore here. (I hope I posted this right.)

Hello Seana! Welcome from Tennessee. Glad you have found the farmgirls. You are in the right place to talk about food of all sorts! There is always an active thread about food and if there isn't one often turns into one! Don't worry about "doing it right" we all understand the getting used to the site thing. Have fun! Looking forward to "talking" with you.

Hi Seana! Welcome from NE Ohio. I thoroughly enjoyed your blog, even though there was a lot of that dirty(s)word in there.(snow) hahaha Here in Ohio, where the weather gets pretty wicked in winter, we get tired of the(s)word after about 2 months of it! lol Of course, I've always wanted to learn how to cross-country ski, but we have to travel a ways to find anyplace to learn that! It's a catch 22!hahaha
So...a Gal after my own heart....I love to bake too, even more than cook&garden!
You'll love it here! These Gals are great!
P.S. I see that your son is your "Pride&Joy!" ...just a guess...lol

I also love to bake...I have been doing a lot of gluten-free for many house guests this summer.
Debbie, is the southwest hen house open to members from a distance? I would love to join up with other farmgirls.

Seana, Welcome from Missouri! Love your blog. That Stown of yours has some really nice artistic talent. Hope he can continue to develop it. I dropped my artistic endeavors when I was a little older than him, thinking it wasn't practical..keep encouraging that creative spirit!!

Since I did that right , now I should tell you a bit about me... I garden, bake, cook, bake, weave pine needle baskets, bake, collect old cookbooks, bake, sew, oh.. did I mention bake? I've earned the nickname "the cookie lady" in my circle of friends. I don't have any proper farm type critters - just 2 dogs & a cat. I'm a wife and a mom and work way too much some weeks. I guess that about sums it up. Hope to connect with other bakers as I explore the site more. Good Vibes to all!
