My laptop has been out, so I have not been able to log in and say hello! I am not spending as much time online, in general, gearing up for the holidays. Right now, I am waiting for the "old man" to call and let me know when he's going to lunch, so I didn't want to get started on any new projects.

I am from the Austin area of Texas. I joined because I am so tired of the hustle-bustle that has become Austin. It used to be a laid back city with plenty of rural areas. That is sadly fading, going to the "weird" mentality of metropolitan life. I like to gussy up and go out now and then, but the city has never been what I really wanted.

I'm so excited to see so many enthusiastic farmgirls here! I've been looking for a place like this for a long time. Glad to finally have found it!

I miss Texas soooo much! Born in Bextar county, raised in deep south Texas, but the Army has us in Kentucky. I hope you are enjoying the boards as much as I am

Hi Miranda and welcome to the sisterhood and Mary Jane's. I know you'll love it here and I agree you've found the right place. The women here are down to earth and very talented. You'll learn lots and make many new friends who feel and think the same way you do :) We're glad to have you with us!

Hi! I'm Caron and I live in southeast Texas in Orange. My husband and I love to go to Austin but you are right it is really getting more "weird" and more big-city every year!
Welcome!
