Posted - Jan 10 2012 : 7:42:35 PM Hi there! I stumbled upon "Mary Jane's" a few days ago and knew right away that it was something I wanted to be part of!! I'm a mostly-stay-at-home Mom living in the Northwest Territories of Canada. I am a horticulture technician by trade, but have been garden-less for the last couple of years due to summer travel. I'm a knitter, sewist, scrapbooker, blogger (though sadly neglected at the moment!) and quilter, and my husband and I are looking forward to the day we can do a little more "homesteading".
I'm really looking forward to spending time here with all of you!

Posted - Jan 10 2012 : 8:58:01 PM Welcome, Ainsley, from northern Iowa, USA. I am recently retired, a master gardener (though I love studying bugs best, just learning to knit, and love to fuss with little hand made things, and historic crafts. DH and I are working on getting passports, so we can visit Canada again.

Posted - Jan 10 2012 : 8:43:43 PM Welcome, Ainsley!
I'm fairly new here, too, but I've been LOVING it! I'm in North Carolina, slowly setting up our own little homestead. I love to craft but haven't had time for it in years. By jumping into some of the Farmgirl Swaps, I've been forced to get creative again, and I LOVE it!!
I'm a SAHM who homeschools our boys, crochets, is trying to sew more, paper crafts, gardens, keeps chickens and ducks, and now I keep goats as we just got 3 baby Nubian does this winter. We are having more fun than we deserve around here, I swear! ;o)
I hope you enjoy Mary Jane's Farm as much as I do!!

Posted - Jan 10 2012 : 8:25:51 PM Oh that's so cool Ainsley! Some year, I would love to go "up north"! I'm in south-western Manitoba. I do almost all of the same activities you do - well, except for knitting (I do crochet though!) & scrapbooking. And I don't have a garden either, due to living in an apartment :p. Welcome to the Farm - I'm sure you'll love it!
