Posted - Jan 11 2012 : 6:20:22 PM Hello fellow farmgirls!! I am very new to MJF sisterhood but have been loving her magazine for several years. Every time I explore this site and what it has to offer I get excited! I am from and currently living in Pennsylvania (a few years were spent in Florida). I look forward to finding a chapter, learning new things and making some wonderful friends.
Have a great day!! |

Posted - Jan 12 2012 : 06:44:08 AM Hi Mari !
Welcome to MJF! We're almost neighbors! I'm in Cresco (near Mt. Pocono). Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do. All the farmgirls are so nice.
I go through Macungie often as we have Amish friends down in Lancaster County and we usually take Rt. 100 to Rt. 23 when we go to visit them. We also used to go to Awkschfesht (I'm sure I spelled that wrong - always sounded like a "sneeze" to me!) Haven't been in a few years, but used to really enjoy it.
We have a Mari here at work and she pronounces it like Maw-ree. Is that the way you pronounce it, or do you say it like Mary?
Maybe we could get together some day for lunch - always nice to meet a new farmgirl!
Hugs, Luanne
