Posted - Jan 14 2012 : 9:37:42 PM I was born and raised in a little town called Ridgway. trust me it's hard to find it on the map. Not all of them have it. Way to go oregonnatural. Do you have solar power or wind power or both??? Sorry it has taken me a bit to get back with youns, but we had a bit of a family emergency. My pastor had a stroke, then they found a tumor in his heart. But the cardio surgeon said no surgery!!! And too keep walking the 30 acres we have at the assembly. The tumor is in is right atrium causing no problems. They will do an ultra sound in three months to see if it does anything. He took a nap one day and while we were eating dinner he said he had a new heart. I believe him and standing with him the that tumor is gone!!!! |

Posted - Jan 14 2012 : 05:39:25 AM Hi Wanda from Georgia!! I was born in the Buffalo area many years ago. That is where my parents are from. Lived in that area till I was 5. Then off to Lancaster county - PA of course. This past fall I was going to drive my mother to Buffalo for her class reunion...go Bulldogs!! But she had a fender bender and our trip was lost. Living in Pa was where my love for quilting and farming came from..... Oh and talking about lake effect snow deep deep deep only begins to describe it LOL. Stay warm, Barbara

Posted - Jan 13 2012 : 4:08:15 PM Wanda! Im new here myself but there is so much info on here and some great go-to gals for everything from soups to nuts. And there are plenty of nuts! How deep is the lake effect snow? I've been to Buffalo just once many many moons ago and what I remember was the deep deep deep snow. I live in Oregon near Crater Lake. We live off-grid and I cook on a wood burning stove every day! Glad you're here! Susan
My random wacky off-grid blog: http://oregonnatural.blogspot.com/ THANK YOU from the bottom of my mountain girl heart! |
