HI everyone, figured if I was going to keep lurking around here, might as well jump in and get my feet wet! :P
I have enjoyed peeking the forums for quite a while. Keeps me dreaming of the homestead me and the hubby hope to get up and running. Fingers crossed we get the well in this year, and fencing up. I know I will be prepping my garden land, and have dropped so many hints on chicken coops, there just has to be one in my future :P

Heather, I too want to live in the Asheville area. I am farther east now, closer to the Atlantic. I hope to look around over there n the next month or so and see what the options are.

Thanks Rosie :) Nope Southern Belle here, though hubby tries to tell me I have lived in MI long enough, and since this is our forever home, I am an official Michigander, but I just tell him he is crazy :P

Welcome from N.C.! I pass through Manistee often when I visit my son in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It is beautiful country up there. I too am dreaming of chicken coops!
